This past Presidents Day, Bei Capelli shut its doors for a day of advanced cutting & styling education. Our team of stylists had the honor of working with the dynamic award-winning duo the salon world knows as Woody & Amy Michleb!

Their collections have been published in magazines internationally and their work in the industry has made them a worldwide phenomenon.  Woody is the recipient of a lifetime achievement award for his contributions to Canadian Hairdressing, and Amy made her mark on the industry by appearing on NBC Universals Shear Genius Season 3.

The fashion-focused couple has won awards in color, cutting, styling, design, and total look. They are master colorists, international judges, and passionate educators. More than 30 Bei Capelli stylists & apprentices attended the all day event that taught everything from intricate cutting techniques to the latest tricks in the art of updos! We were honored to have the opportunity to learn from some of the best talent the fashion world has to offer.

The owners at Bei Capelli constantly search for fresh and innovative ways to bring clients the latest and greatest in hair trends and fashion. Hair extensions, first sported by celebrities, are now a common and popular way to get the long and beautiful hair you have always wanted. And not only do they lengthen your locks, hair extensions now have the ability to add fullness and volume to fine or thinning hair, long or short.

Recently, platform artist Chris Rosario visited us all the way from California to educate the Bei Capelli stylists about Hairdreams® hair extensions and all they have to offer our clients. There are three different types of Hairdreams extensions: one for length, one for added fullness and length, and one to add volume to short, fine, or thinning hair. Many women, young and old, suffer from bald spots or thinning hair. Now those thin hair sufferers can have
all the fullness and body they want, whether their hair is long or short, in just one session.

If Guy Fieri is known as the king of the kitchen, hair stylist Adam Livermore is sultan of the shear. He is a household name at Bei Capelli and other high-end salons, and is known for his creative styles on the covers of fashion magazines and on the runways of Paris, Milan and New York. Adam is a styling educator with Oribe, one of the most influential stylists of our time. Oribe's styling techniques and hair products are known worldwide as a cut above the rest, creating looks that are inventive, timeless, and strikingly glamorous.

Hair royalty came knocking at Bei Capelli on February 6th when we hosted an in-house educational event with Adam. All of our 22 stylists attended the event, and the celebrity stylist taught classes on editorial styling and product education. Bei Capelli just began carrying Oribe Haircare in September of 2011, so we were very fortunate to have Adam share his insight and deep knowledge of Oribe products with our stylists. Bei Capelli also hired Maine Photo Booth for the event as a fun way to capture before-and-after styles of our models and employees. Basically, it was a pretty big deal.

Bei Capelli is constantly searching for ways to improve on our practices. We strive to be innovative and creative in our styling, and continuously update our knowledge of the hair industry. Hosting a celebrity stylist is just one of the many ways our team actively stays current on the hair products and trends of today.
